Zebra ZD421-HC 4-Inch Healthcare Label Printer
The Zebra ZD421-HC is a healthcare-specific desktop label printer engineered for hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, clinics and other patient-care environments. Its disinfectant-ready white housing, sealed control interface and medical-grade power supply make it better suited to clinical work areas than a standard commercial desktop printer.
Available in direct thermal, traditional thermal transfer and easy-load ribbon cartridge configurations, the ZD421-HC supports short-life patient and specimen labels as well as durable pharmacy, asset and identification labels. Organizations can choose 203 dpi for general-purpose speed and value or 300 dpi for smaller text, compact barcodes and high-density healthcare labeling.

The ZD421-HC combines the familiar footprint of a 4-inch desktop printer with features intended for areas where equipment is cleaned frequently and label accuracy matters. It can print patient identification labels, specimen labels, medication labels, blood and tissue labels, laboratory routing labels, admissions labels and general healthcare inventory labels.

Direct Thermal
Best for wristbands, specimen labels, admissions labels, receipts and other short- to medium-life applications. It prints without a ribbon, reducing supplies and simplifying daily operation.
Thermal Transfer
Best for durable pharmacy, asset, inventory, chemical and identification labels. It uses a ribbon to create a more abrasion-, moisture- and chemical-resistant image.
Ribbon Cartridge
