Frequently asked questions
How does the BC-60U connect to a PC?
Mettler Toledo names USB as the preferred connection, and the scale is then powered by the PC's USB port. Use HID POS mode if the scale will talk to more than one shipping program. RS-232 is also standard and runs from the external power supply.
How do I select the Mettler Toledo BC60 in shipping software?
In the carrier or shipping software setup screen, pick the scale model from the list; Mettler Toledo gives Toledo, PS60 and BC-60 as examples. For serial, virtual serial and Bluetooth connections, you also need the scale's COM port.
Is the BC-60U legal for trade?
The BC series is covered by NTEP Certificate of Conformance 13-111 (Accuracy Class III). Mettler Toledo notes that capacity and resolution can be customized, but legal-for-trade units must stay within the approval requirements.
