Compatibility
Logic Controls publishes USB drivers for Windows, macOS and Linux, OPOS and POS for .NET drivers for Windows, JPOS drivers for Windows and Linux, and a command set utility for its line displays. The USB driver can present the display as a virtual COM port for POS software that addresses a serial pole display, or as a named device for use with the Logic Controls OPOS driver.
Frequently asked questions
Does the LDX9000UP need a separate power supply?
The LDX9000UP is USB port-powered, and Logic Controls does not list a power adapter in the box. If external power is needed, Logic Controls offers the LDX9000 PK power kit, which includes a USB/Mini DIN 10 cable with an external power port and a 7.5 VDC, 2.0 A power adapter.
Which command sets can the Logic Controls LDX9000 emulate?
According to the Logic Controls user manual, the display can load the Logic Controls command set group (LCI, Aedex, Noritake, LCI3400, UTC1100, UTC220XLT and Epson 110-D202), or the EMAX, Firich, IEE and PartnerTech CD7220/5220 command sets, using the Logic Controls download utility.
How does POS software connect to the LDX9000UP over USB?
After the Logic Controls USB driver is installed, the display can appear as a virtual COM port, so POS software built for a serial pole display can address it. It can also be accessed by device name, which is the option used with the Logic Controls OPOS driver.
How large are the characters on the LDX9000 pole display?
Logic Controls lists a character height of 9.5 mm (0.374 in) and a width of 6.2 mm on a 2-line, 20-character blue-green vacuum fluorescent display.
What is the difference between the LDX9000 and the LDX9000X?
The LDX9000UP is a single-sided pole display. Logic Controls describes the LDX9000X as taking the features of the LDX9000 and adding a second screen that can show the same or different messages.
