The Impinj R700 is a 4-port RAIN RFID fixed reader for warehouse, retail, healthcare, logistics and asset-tracking deployments. IPJ-R700-341-B is the Revision 2 (R700v2) model for the FCC/GX region and is the current ordering part number that Impinj designates to replace the original IPJ-R700-341.

- The R700 reader is PoE/PoE+ only: the 24 V AC adapter IPJ-A2003-000 does not power it
Product status
Current production. Per Impinj PCN dated 12/23/2025, IPJ-R700-341-B replaces IPJ-R700-341 for new orders. Revision 2 is not a drop-in power match for every network: it needs PoE+ (the R700v1 could also run on PoE with reduced output).
Choosing between models
R700 vs Speedway R420: the R700 adds Gigabit Ethernet, a 64-bit multi-core processor, on-reader application space, USB and integrated GPIO. The R420 uses a 24 V adapter or PoE, has 10/100 Ethernet and needs an accessory for GPIO.
